Your goals for the website, the site structure, the user journey and copywriting
We start by getting to understand your and your visitors’ goals. With your industry knowledge alongside our web and digital expertise, we set key objectives for the project. Keyword research and historical website stats help us to create your sitemap and to visualise the journeys people might take. Finally, we either brief you on the written content we’ll need or get to work writing it for you.
Typography, colour palettes, graphics and layouts
This is where our creativity is let loose. We look at everything from colour palettes and fonts to graphics and content layout. We produce several design concepts - wireframe websites that are ready to be shared with you, then walk you through the designs, taking note of your preferences before moving on to the next stage.
Styles, structure, content, development, integrations, transitions, animations and mobile.
And the build begins! We bring all of the styles - fonts, colours and layouts - into the new site and get the page structure set up and ready to go. Next comes the content. We need everything - copy, photos, illustrations, icons and videos, and we incorporate it all, and the site starts to take shape. We’re not done though - we need to get it looking the business on mobile and tablet and bring in some motion with transitions and animations. We then integrate the site, so it works in harmony with your other platforms.

Throughout the planning, design and build, we’ll also have been working on the SEO. It’s an ever-present in our minds, and a lot of the decisions we’ve made along the way are to help the site rank well. We’ll have been working closely with you on the copywriting, either supporting you to write it or writing it ourselves, so we’ve got original and optimised content. Time to double check everything and crawl the site like Google would, to spot any final opportunities before going live.

We use a whole host of tools, browsers and devices to test your website. We want to make sure that it works as intended on every computer, phone and tablet. The speed of the site is important too, so we test it using servers all over the world, identifying any areas that need further optimisation before pressing the big red button.
Time to share your site with the world!
We set up Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools, submit the site for indexing and carry out one more round of testing. Then we’re finished, time to hand your website over to you and give you access and training with the content management system (CMS).
